¡Buenas tardes! Good afternoon Colt families! We hope that you are enjoying your weekend!
This week we look forward to meeting with families about student learning. Our parent teacher conferences are currently open for booking. Information regarding how to book conferences with your child's teachers can be found in the Chronicle below. We always enjoy speaking with families about how best to support student learning in our classrooms.
Please note that Thursday evening conferences (Thursday, November 23) will occur in person at A.E. Cross School while Friday conferences (Friday, November 24) will occur via Microsoft Teams. Should you have any questions about parent teacher conferences, please contact the school.
Additionally, we are in the data gathering phase of a potential 2023-2024 yearbook for A.E. Cross School. We would love it if you could take the time to complete a quick three question survey regarding a yearbook for this school year. The link to the survey can be found below:
Please see this week's Colts' Community Chronicle below.
Have a wonderful week and we'll see you for parent teacher conferences!
Sincerely,

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parents/Guardians were able to book conferences beginning Friday Nov 17, at 4:00PM. The conference bookings will register you to meet with 1 teacher at a time. This means that you will have to make multiple bookings if you desire to meet with more than 1 of your child's teachers, or to talk about different courses. We value the role that your child plays in their learning, and strongly encourage all students to attend conferences with their parent/guardian.
Format:
- Thursday November 23, 5:00-8:00PM, all conferences will be in-person at A. E. Cross School
- Friday November 24, 9:00AM-2:00PM, all conferences will be online via Microsoft Teams and a link will be emailed directly to you.
- Each conference meeting will be 10 minutes in length.
Please refer to this website, MyCBE - School Conferences, for instructions on how to book a conference through your MyCBE account. Should you have any difficulties or questions, please phone the main office and school staff can assist you.
The conference booking tool will be closed on November 22 at 9:00PM. It is important to ensure that you book your conferences prior to then.

¡Es una oportunidad fabulosa!
Chinook Learning Services offers courses specifically designed for parents and caregivers of CBE Spanish Bilingual students. For Fall 2023, Chinook Learning Services is once again offering Spanish for Parents – Level 1 classes. This eight-week course will help parents of bilingual students learn or refresh their Spanish language skills, build their network of bilingual parents and support their children’s learning at home.
Please visit Chinook Learning Services for more information.
Student Pick-up and Drop-off
We have noticed that parents who are picking up and dropping off students are sometimes parking in our bus zone adjacent to the school on 33 Avenue. This is making it difficult for our school buses to pick up and drop off students. Please avoid parking in the bus zone so that our students are able to access their transportation safely. Thank you for your attention to this.
Volunteering at A.E. Cross
There will be activities done at A.E. Cross that require parent volunteers. In order to volunteer for events occurring at the school, parents must complete an Annual Volunteer Registration Form.
