Good afternoon families! ¡Buenas tardes familias! We sincerely hope that you had a fantastic winter break filled with fun and laughter with family and friends. All of the staff at A.E. Cross are excited to see the students tomorrow morning to continue their learning! Below is the first edition of the Colts' Community Chronicle of 2024 and we want to draw your attention to a couple of items. 

• Volleyball tryouts begin this week. Please check the Chronicle below or students can also check the bulletin board in the main hallway for tryout times. We're excited to see all of the athletes on the court this week!
• 2023-2024 Yearbook. The cost for the yearbook will be $25.00 and information about how to order this year's yearbook will be posted around the school as well as being provided to you through future editions of the Colts' Community Chronicle.
• High School tours and open houses continue in the month of January for our Grade 9 students. Please check the Chronicle below for open house dates. Those students who are designated to Central Memorial High School will be receiving field trip forms that will need to be returned to the school this week.
• Our next school council meeting will occur on Thursday, January 18th. We encourage all parents to attend these meetings to have a say in your child's education at A.E. Cross School!

Thank you to everybody's contribution to Project Kindness during the month of December. It was the biggest fundraising effort by the school community since the program started and we were able to help several A.E. Cross families over the holiday season.
