Good afternoon families! ¡Buenas tardes familias! We hope that the spring snowfall of last week did not get your spirits down too much and that you are having an enjoyable weekend! It was a great week of learning at A.E. Cross School and we loved having our students back in school. The latest edition of the Colts’ Community Chronicle can be found below.
There are some particularly important items that we would like to draw your attention to:
Student Fees
Fees for semester 2 courses have been posted on your child’s MyCBE/PowerSchool. We would encourage to log into MyCBE/PowerSchool and pay those fees so that we can continue to provide our students with engaging and valuable learning experiences.
Solar Eclipse Precautions
A notice was sent out on Friday afternoon regarding tomorrow’s solar eclipse. Students will spend lunch time indoors tomorrow so please send a lunch with your child. Students that must go home for lunch are reminded of the potential dangers to vision as a result of looking at the solar eclipse.
Parent Engagement Night featuring Ryan Straschnitzki
On April 18th, A.E. Cross School will host Ryan Straschnitzki for a talk about resiliency. Please see how to register to attend this session in the Chronicle below.
Minister’s Youth Council
We would encourage any students, aged 14 and over, interested in providing input to the Minister of Education to put forward an application to the Minister’s Youth Council. Information regarding the Council can be found in the Chronicle as well in the advertising poster below.
Just a reminder as well that Spring Photos for grade 7 and grade 8 students will occur on Tuesday, April 11. Additionally, grade 9 students that were not present during our fall photo sittings are invited to have photos done on Tuesday as well.
