Good afternoon families and happy June! ¡Buenas tardes familias y feliz junio!
As we near the end of the school year, it gives us time to celebrate the accomplishments of our students. This past week, our Spanish Bilingual Program was highlighted in a couple of ways. Our grade 9 Spanish Bilingual students were celebrated on Friday, May 31 with their farewell celebration in our learning commons. We wish those students well as they move on into high school. Additionally, Spanish students participated in the Spanish Bilingual Program short film festival at Crescent Heights High School. Our grade 7 entry won Best Grade 7 Film and our grade 8 entry won the People's Choice Award. Congratulations to those students.
This week, our Thermopylae athletes will participate in their competition at Valley Creek School on Tuesday afternoon. Our Track and Field team will be competing in their Track meet on Friday, June 14 at Foothills Athletic Park. Mr. Richards is looking for some parent volunteers to help out on that day. If you are able to help out, please contact Mr. Richards directly.
Finally, we look forward to celebrating our Grade 9 students on Thursday, June 6 as their farewell celebration is taking place at A.E. Cross. Please make sure that permission forms have been handed in to the school so that your Grade 9 student can participate in the celebration. We are very proud of our Grade 9 students and wish them well as they head on into high school.
Below is the latest edition of the Colts' Community Chronicle. We hope that you have a great week!
