Good Sunday afternoon families! Happy Mothers' Day! ¡Buenas tardes de domingo familias! ¡Feliz día de la madre!

We hope that you have had a wonderful weekend so far. May continues to be busy for students at A.E. Cross School! I want to highlight our Spanish and Band students that performed at the Spanish cultural celebration of Que Pasa on Tuesday afternoon. Their performance was outstanding and I could not be more proud of these students and their work. There is a link to a YouTube presentation of their performance in the latest edition of the Colts' Community Chronicle below.

Tomorrow is the Grade 9 ELA Provincial Achievement Test (Part A). I know that our teachers and students have been working hard in preparation for tomorrow's test. I want to wish everybody well on their exam tomorrow morning.

We invite all families to join us on Thursday, May 16 at 7:00 pm for our School Council and Parents' Association meeting in the Learning Commons.

Please note that this Friday (May 17) is a non-instructional day for students. Staff will be working on assessment and reporting and preparing for the final report cards that will be available at the end of June. Also, Monday, May 20 is Victoria and there is no school for students on that day as well.

We hope that you have a fantastic week!

Colts' Community Chronicle - May 13 to May 17

Sincerely,

Randy Lewis
