Good afternoon families! ¡Buenas tardes familias! Welcome to the last week of June and the last week of school!

This will be the last Colts' Community Chronicle of the 2023-2024 school year. I will send out an end of year message later this week wishing everybody a great summer break and to include information for next year but this message is to inform you of the various events going on around the school this week.

To begin however, I must congratulate our Grade 9 students on the completion of their Provincial Achievement Tests. I know that our staff and students worked hard all year long in preparation for these tests and they can cause an extra level of anxiety for people. The preparatory skills learned throughout the year will serve you well as you move into high school.

Thank you to the staff and school council for providing the school community with our final Chew and Chat of the year. On Friday morning, we were able to enjoy some breakfast together as a community prior to summer break. It was especially notable as students were able to eat some bannock in recognition of Friday being National Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Below are some key events for this week:

  • Monday, June 24
    • Junior Achievement Presentations on Financial Literacy
  • Tuesday, June 25
    • Sports Day - School Council is looking for some volunteers to assist with this event - see sign up link in the Chronicle
  • Wednesday, June 26
    • Student Report Cards will be available for families in MyCBE/PowerSchool - the school will not be printing report cards for all students - if you require a printed copy of your child's report card, please let the school know
  • Thursday, June 27
    • Last Day of Classes for Students (1:00 PM Dismissal)
  • Friday, June 28
    • Non-Instructional Day - Report Card Appeals until 12:00 PM

We hope that you have a great week! Please see the Colts' Community Chronicle below:
