Good afternoon families! We hope that you are having a wonderful weekend! ¡Buenas tardes, familias! ¡Esperamos que estén pasando un fin de semana maravilloso!
A reminder that this Friday, November 28 is a non-instruction day for students as staff will be participating in Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Below you will find the latest edition of the Colts’ Community Chronicle.
Colts' Community Chronicle - November 24 to November 28
Some highlights that I want to draw your attention to:
- Parent-Teacher Conferences – Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28
- Please make sure that you book appointments through your child’s MyCBE account. If you require support in booking appointments, please contact the main office. We look forward to speaking with parents about student learning and achievement.
- The first blast of colder weather will be arriving in the coming days. It is very important that students are coming to school with appropriate clothing to wear.
- The main doors of the school open in the morning at 9:05 AM. Students are required to wait outside until this time.
- At lunchtime, students are expected to be outside from 12:30 to 12:50 unless they are under direct supervision by teachers in various activities throughout the school. Students that choose to go outside at lunch are not readmitted to the school until the warning bell rings at 12:50 pm.
- Snowballs are prohibited from being thrown on school property before school, at lunch and after school. Students will be provided a warning about the dangers of throwing snowballs but if there continues to be problems with snowball throwing, progressive discipline may be enacted.
- Should the weather be extremely cold (temperature including windchill is less than -20 degrees Celsius or wet (excessive rain or snow), students will be able to enter the school early in the morning and remain in the school during lunch time.
- LifeTouch Photo Retakes – Thursday, November 27
- Students will be called to the stage throughout the day on Thursday to have photos retaken. Additionally, if a student was absent on photo day in September, they will have an opportunity to have their photo taken.
We look forward to seeing you at A.E. Cross on Thursday evening and virtually during the day on Friday. It is always wonderful to be able to talk about student learning with our families. Have a wonderful week!
Esperamos verlos en A.E. Cross el jueves por la noche y virtualmente el viernes. Siempre es un placer poder hablar sobre el aprendizaje estudiantil con nuestras familias. ¡Que tengan una semana maravillosa!
Sincerely,
Randy Lewis
