Good afternoon everybody! We hope that your weekend is going well. Happy Mothers' Day to all of the moms out there! ¡Buenas tardes a todos! Esperamos que tengan un buen fin de semana. ¡Feliz Día de la Madre a todas las mamás!

Below is the latest edition of the Colts’ Community Chronicle. As we near the end of the school year, it is important to know what’s happening in and around the school so we encourage you to take a couple minutes to scan the message.

Please note that Friday, May 16 is a non-instructional day for students and Monday, May 19 is Victoria Day and there is no school for students. Next week’s Chronicle will be sent on Monday, May 19 at 12:00 pm.

There are a couple of items that are time-sensitive that may require your attention:

  • Grade 9 Farewell – parent/guardian permission forms were handed out to students last week and must be returned to their homeroom teacher by May 15, 2025. Additionally, there is a $15 farewell fee that has been assigned for Grade 9 students through MyCBE.
  • 2024-2025 Yearbook – time is running out for you to purchase this year’s yearbook. Please don’t miss out on this keepsake. To order a yearbook, please visit the following website: 2024-2025 Yearbook Ordering Link
  • Year-End Activities – there is information in the Chronicle below for Year-End activities that students can participate in
    • Grade 8 Students – Bowling at Splitzville
    • Grade 9 Students
      • VR Core Experience
      • Activate Field Trip

There are still some families who have yet to pay fees for their child’s complementary courses for Semester 2. It is important that those fees are paid so that materials can be purchased for the remaining classes of the semester. Please log in to MyCBE to see which fees are  outstanding.

We hope that you have a good week and please enjoy the long  weekend! ¡Esperamos que tengas una buena semana y que disfrutes del fin de semana largo!

Spanish Bilingual Program

Grade 9 students from the Spanish Bilingual Program proudly represented AE Cross at the Visual Arts Festival for all CBE Spanish schools, held at the Jubilee Auditorium on May 6.

Each school shone in its own unique way, and AE Cross reached for the stars with a moving adaptation of the classic El Quijote by Miguel de Cervantes.

The audience honored our students with two spontaneous rounds of applause before the final ovation at the end of the performance.

It was a heartfelt display of teamwork, creativity, and generosity.

¡Bravo, estudiantes!
